Hemp Fiber-Modified Asphalt Concretes with Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement for Low-Traffic Roads

Reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) contributes substantially to the volume of recycled waste in world. This research aims evaluate mechanistic performance concrete with 100% RAP (RAP-AC) modified natural hemp fiber (HF) reinforcement. The effects HF lengths and contents on were investigated. static tests included Marshall stability, strength index (SI), indirect tensile (ITS), whilst cyclic resilient modulus (IT Mr), fatigue life (ITFL), rutting resistance tests. microstructural analysis revealed that could absorb more cement function as a 0.05% 24 mm length was suggested best ingredient. For various stress levels, higher resilience properties—due addition HF—contribute levels ITFL resistance. Based critical test data, distress model for HF-RAP-AC developed design. outcome this promotes usage greener material low-traffic roads, which account over 70% total roads worldwide.
